Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award

Allison Harrison first discovered her love of sales competitions as a student at Central Michigan University, where she captained her school’s sales team and competed in events like the Pro-Am Sell-A-Thon and the National Collegiate Sales Competition. Nearly seven years later, she is still giving back to the very program that shaped her, now as National Director of the Pro-Am Sell-A-Thon. This is a role she has held for the past two and a half years, leading a team of more than seven volunteers through 13 major conferences.

By day, Allison is a Senior Advisor at Salesforce, helping C-suite executives at strategic clients evaluate solutions through sophisticated ROI and TCO analyses. That same clarity and preparation shows up in her volunteer work: she contributes an average of 150 to 180 hours a year to Pi Sigma Epsilon, plus 16-hour days running the competition on-site. As PSE’s Convention Spokesperson, she also created 40 original promotional videos that helped drive more than 43% of the organization’s total annual Instagram views and over half of its Instagram interactions for the year.

The number that matters most, though, is 2,700; the number of students who have received hands-on sales training through the Pro-Am Sell-A-Thon under Allison’s leadership. She understands the experience from both sides, having once competed in the very same events she now runs, and she brings that perspective to every training session, planning call, and 16-hour day she commits to running the competition on-site.

That community work runs deep. Outside of PSE, Allison is a fierce advocate for mental health, having helped raise more than $811,000 for mental health resources and advocacy over the past decade. As co-founder of Musique Pour La Paix, she has directed more than $10,000 toward sponsoring immigrant and refugee dance students, and she has written and donated nearly 1,000 copies of a children’s affirmation and mental health coloring book to Title I schools and hospitals across Colorado.

Allison gives Pi Sigma Epsilon her time, her professional expertise, and, by every account, her heart.
